Detectives are hunting yobs who targeted a parked car with a smoke bomb in Wellingborough on Friday night.

Firefighters from the town were called to reports of a blazing Ford Focus in Baker Street at about 9.30pm.

Investigators later confirmed the vehicle's windows had been smashed and a smoke cannister thrown inside, causing major damage to the interior.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information which could assist with this investigation.
