A woman in her 50s was assaulted by two men and one woman between 3.05pm and 3.20pm on Tuesday (September 29) in Booth Rise, Northampton, police have reported.

The victim was walking along Booth Rise, near to its junction with Booth Park, when she noticed a small grey coloured hatchback car.

The car stopped before two men and one woman got out. The male driver approached the women and punched her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground. The victim then felt a blunt instrument against her neck.

A member of the public stopped and shouted at the group, who ran back to the car and drove off.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “Officers are appealing for this person to contact them as a matter of urgency.”

The main offender is described as white and of a stocky build and the female rear passenger is described as having a dark complexion and long curly hair.
