Wellingborough paedophile had more than 1,000 child abuse images
He admitted three charges facing him
A paedophile from Wellingborough will be sentenced next month after he was caught with more than 1,000 sick child abuse images.
Wayne Calcott, 45, was arrested when police found the vile indecent images in a raid, with the offences taking place in 2017.
This month he appeared at Northampton Magistrates' Court charged with three counts of making indecent images of children, pleading guilty to all three charges.
In total he had 1,320 depraved images - 289 in category A (the most severe), 338 in category B and 693 in category C.
Calcott, of Hatfield Close, was granted unconditional bail by magistrates.
He will be sentenced at Northampton Crown Court on April 23.
■ We understand that some people may be angry or upset to see their name published here but covering court cases acts as a deterrent against crime and it is important that justice is being seen to be done.
Under English Law, it is a general principle that criminal court proceedings for adults should be held openly and in public. Verdicts and sentences are normally given out in open court and so are in the public domain. Newspapers such as ours therefore have the right to publish outcomes of all such criminal court cases.
