Harpole and Kislingbury were targeted by thieves in the early hours of Friday morning (January 29), with many residents saying that iPads, car keys and other items had been stolen from their vehicles.

Police confirmed one incident of theft in Mill Lane, Kislingbury, at about 4.20am on Friday, where a Nissan Qashqai was broken into and cash and bank cards were stolen from inside.

It has not been confirmed by police that the thefts in both villages were connected, but many residents believe they were.

Officers said: "We are investigating this and are also waiting for some CCTV a neighbour has to be sent into us. In the meantime, we would appeal for anyone with any information to come forward by calling 101 and quoting the crime number below."
