A wanted man was stopped on the A14 near the M6 yesterday afternoon (April 8) after he failed to stop for police.

The vehicle - a Skoda with false plates - entered Northamptonshire from the West Midlands. Officers followed the car and eventually boxed him into a stop.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "It was followed into a dead end, where the driver thought about running but jumped back in the car when he saw [the taser]. He is wanted across the country."
