VIDEO: Police car drives down Abington Street after parking dispute blocks road

Police were called out to Abington Street in Northampton town centre this afternoon to deal with a parking dispute that led to the road being blocked.

Shoppers were forced to move out of the way as a patrol car drove down the pedestrianised part of the street at about 1.30pm.

Witnesses reported seeing a man being arrested outside Cafe Nero by an off-duty police officer.

The cause of the dispute appeared to be alleged damage caused to a vehicle near All Saints Church.
