A man broke into a resident's Northampton home and forced the occupant to hand over his jewellery after threatening him with knives.

The aggravated burglary took place on Thursday, March 18 between 7pm and 8pm in Standing Stones, Great Billing.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "The suspect is described as a tall, skinny man with a deep voice and wearing a hoody and a face-covering with goggles attached to it."
