A man found with drugs after he was searched at a festival in Northamptonshire has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.

Michael Belton, 26, was stopped at Shambala Festival in the grounds of Kelmarsh Hall at about 5.45am on August 25, 2018, because he wasn't wearing an entry bracelet.

Shambala Festival has a zero tolerance policy on drug use and their website says they will hand anyone caught with drugs to the police.

Earlier this month Belton, of Lower Cannon Road in Heathfield, near Newton Abbot in Devon, admitted possession of ketamine and possession of cannabis resin with intent to supply.

At Northampton Magistrates' Court he was sentenced to a community order with rehabilitation requirements and 100 hours of unpaid work.
