Two men have pleaded not guilty to raping an 18-year-old woman in an incident in Northampton last year.

John Cunningham, 28, of no fixed abode, and 37-year-old Dennis McGowan, of Mounts Court, Northampton, were arrested in August following an investigation into an incident in August 2019.

At Northampton Crown Court today (October 30), the two men each pleaded not guilty to one count of rape.

Cunningham has also pleaded not guilty with an additional offence of conspiracy to rape in connection with the incident.

They are set to stand trial on February 15 next year.
