McBeth and Antwi, both previously of Lambeth in London, were charged with one count of robbery and one count of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

McBeth pleaded guilty to the offences at Northampton Crown Court in November 2024, returning to the same court on September 29 for sentencing.

Antwi pleaded guilty to the same offences at Northampton Court in August 2024 and was sentenced on November 18.

Lead investigator - Detective Constable James Oxford said: “I am really pleased with these sentences as it demonstrates the consequences of thinking you can steal people’s hard-earned possessions in Northamptonshire and get away with it.

“I would like to thank the victim in this case for his support of our investigation and I would also like to commend the members of the public who helped us locate both men on the day of the incident.”

McBeth was sentenced to five years and three months in prison with an extension period of four years.

Antwi was sentenced to five years and three months.
