Two men have been arrested in relation to an alleged assault in a Northampton neighbourhood.

Police were called to Baring House in Dallington Road at around 8.40pm yesterday (September 30).

A 30-year-old and a 56-year-old were arrested following an alleged assault reported at an address in the area.

Both men remain in police custody today (October 1).

A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police said: "Two men aged 30 and 56 were arrested in connection with an alleged assault at an address in the area.

"They remain in police custody at this time.

"This was an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to members of the public."

Anyone with any information about the incident should call police on 101.
