A man and a woman have been arrested following a knife attack in Kingsthorpe.

The incident happened at about 1.30am on Sunday (May 10) in Boughton Green Road.

An altercation took place resulting in a 27-year-old man receiving slash wounds to his face.

A 30-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman have both been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent in connection with the incident.

They have now both been released under investigation pending further enquiries, a spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said.
