Tip-off led police to find £1,500 of cannabis in Northampton today

A warrant was issued for police to search a property in Thursby Road, Abington, this morning.

Northamptonshire Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a drugs warrant in Abington earlier today (Thursday) - leading to what the team described as a "good result".

Officers were on scene in Thursby Road at 9.30am after seeking permission from a magistrate to gain entry to the house following a tip-off from a member of the public.

Ready-to-use cannabis totalling £1,500 and a large sum of cash were immediately seized by the officers and the investigation surrounding the incident continues.
