Thug jailed for five years after beating Northamptonshire pensioners in two drug-fuelled attacks
A vicious thug who brutally beat two defenceless pensioners in their Northamptonshire homes has been jailed for five years.
Ian Courtney Moore broke one 79-year-old man's jaw before attacking a second resident in a nearby flat minutes later, beating the victims with their own walking sticks in a drug-fuelled rage.

Moore, 47, was told he posed such a danger to the public that it would be up to the Probation Service to determine if he was safe to be released after completing his time in jail.
Speaking after sentence was passed, DC Ryan Smedley, of Northamptonshire Police, said: “Moore is an extremely violent and dangerous man who has been locked up for two attacks which were entirely unprovoked and wholly terrifying for the victims.
“Due to some excellent work, Northamptonshire Police has been able to safeguard the public from a very violent individual.”

Prosecutors revealed the accused had previous convictions for 44 offences dating back to 1997, including a series of violent crimes. These included one attack using a metal wrench, another where the victim suffered a fractured skull and a third where a woman was beaten so severely she was placed into intensive care.
Police later revealed trauma of the ordeal force one of Moore's victims to leave his home and move out of the area.
