Three people from Northampton charged with 21 counts of child cruelty spanning five years

Three people from Northampton have appeared at court today charged with 21 counts of child cruelty between them.

The defendants - a man and two women - have been charged over alleged ill treatment of four young people over a number of years between 2015 and the end of 2019.

In total, the three adults face 21 counts of cruelty to a person under the age of 16. One of the women has also been charged with ABH in relation to one of the children.

At Northampton Crown Court, the three defendants pleaded not guilty to all counts.

They are expected to stand trial in September 2021.
