Three men have been arrested in connection with fraud and money laundering offences after police officers stopped their car on the M1.

The car - a blue Audi A3 - was stopped by officers on the motorway near junction 15 at around 8.30pm on Monday, April 26. The vehicle in question was flagged up to officers as it was suspected to be linked to organised crime.

Police, after searching the vehicle, uncovered a large quantity of cash and one of the vehicle's occupants provided officers with a suspected fake driving licence.

Three men - all aged 31 - were subsequently arrested in connection with fraud and money laundering offences.
