Three arrests made after man stabbed in stomach in Northampton

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after he was stabbed in the stomach.

The incident happened at around 2.30pm yesterday (May 26) in Military Road, near to the Racecourse.

The road was sealed off by police for a number of hours into yesterday evening and the air ambulance was spotted close to the scene.

Three men were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with the incident.

The air ambulance attended the incident and treated the victim at the scene before he was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police said: “Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Military Road, Northampton.

“The incident happened on Tuesday, May 26, at about 2.30pm, when a man in his 20s received a single stab wound to the stomach.

“He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

“Three men, aged 22, 24 and 58, have all been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and remain in police custody at this time.”
