Thieves steal charity boxes from Indian restaurant in Northampton

Two charity boxes were stolen by thieves who raided an Indian takeaway in Northampton over the weekend.

The break-in took place at Kingsthorpe Spice in Alexendra Terrace on Sunday at 11.15am.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “The offender/s broke in through the front door and stole a till, two charity boxes and a tips box. The charity boxes were for the RSPB and MacMillan.”

Witnesses, or anyone with any information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
