These are the faces of 27 county criminals who were jailed for serious offences across Northamptonshire and beyond, and whose often shocking stories this newspaper brought to you during the month of July 2025.

17. Andrew Ryan Skinner
The 31-year-old, of Clun Walk, Corby, was found guilty of causing death by careless driving after apparently racing another driver on the A43 near Kettering, resulting in a crash which killed Paulo Carneiro, 27, in October 2021. Skinner was also found guilty of causing serious injury by careless driving after an innocent driver – a Kettering man in his 50s – sustained life-changing injuries. He was sentenced to 21 months in prison and disqualified from driving for more than four years. Photo: Northamptonshire Police

Stokes, of Burns Road, was identified using a video clip provided by the victim’s friend and sentenced to 42 months at Ipswich Crown Court. Photo: Suffolk Constabulary

19. Robert Cojocario
The 47-year-old, of Pendered Road, Wellingborough, was jailed for his part in an “unprovoked and violent attack” by three men in Peterborough which left the victim with fractured eye sockets and lacerations to his head. Cojocario was jailed for 10 months at Cambridge Crown Court after admitting inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Photo: Cambridgeshire Constabulary

20. Brian Storey
Heroin trafficker Storey used a rented office in Northampton to smuggle 18kg of drugs into the UK. The 49-year-old was a gang’s conduit to a drug supplier in Spain with heroin being delivered to rented offices for fake companies. Four co-conspirators were sentenced in 2021 but Storey fled to Spain using a fraudulently obtained passport only to be arrested when he returned to Britain. He was sentenced to 12 years, seven months in prison. Photo: National Crime Agency
