Teenager arrested in connection with robbery at Northamptonshire shop

A teenager has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a Co-op.

Police arrested a 15-year-old youth following the robbery at the Co-op in Edinburgh Square, Daventry.

Officers were called to the shop just before 5pm on Wednesday, 13 January.

The teenager was arrested on Thursday afternoon and has been released on bail, pending further enquiries in connection with the robbery.

He has been charged with two counts assaulting police officers during his arrest and will be appearing in Magistrates Court today (Friday).
