Teenage girl flees from hooded male during daylight attack in Northampton cul-de-sac

A teenage girl fled from a hooded attacker who tried to grab her clothing while she was out walking in broad daylight in a Northampton cul-de-sac.
Police officers say a man in his 20s crept up on the teenager from behind in Harrow Way, Kingsthorpe, between 11am and 11.20am last Wednesday (July 29).

Hide AdA spokesman for the Northamptonshire Force said: "A man, leaning against a silver saloon car, called out to the girl, who ignored him and continued walking.
"The man then approached the girl from behind and pulled her tracksuit bottoms down before she managed to run away from him."
Officers have issued an appeal for witness and a description of the offender who is wanted on suspicion of a sexual assault.
The Police spokesman added: "The man we are seeking is white, aged 20 to 30 years, and of a slim build. He was wearing a blue hooded top, which had the hood pulled up to cover his head.

Hide Ad"We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of anyone acting suspiciously in Harrow Way at around the time of the incident.
