A 35-year-old man was arrested last night in connection with a burglary that took place in Sotheby Rise, Ecton Brook, at 1:30am yesterday, Tuesday September 29.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said a man broke into a property in the area but was disturbed by the occupants of the house so fled without taking anything.

Last night, Northamptonshire Police sent out an armed response vehicle (ARV) and a police dog, PD Fama, in response to a report of a man trying door handles in the same area.

PD Fama and the officers successfully tracked a suspect and arrested the 35-year-old man. He remains in police custody at this time awaiting questioning.
