Stretch of footpath beside River Nene in Northampton taped off by police following incident

Police have taped off a prominent part of the River Nene in Northampton following an emergency incident.

Crime scene tape has been placed on the well-known Wathen Wigg Bridge close to the rear of Morrisons.

The police cordon stretches from Wathen Wigg Bridge to South Bridge on the River Nene.
