Residents encouraged to report anti-social behaviour in Northampton during countywide awareness week

A week of events aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour and encouraging residents to report incidents will take place across Northamptonshire from June 29 to July 5.

Councils, police, fire services, housing providers and community organisations are joining forces to mark Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week 2026 with a series of drop-in sessions, outreach events and community engagement activities.

West Northamptonshire Council is working alongside North Northamptonshire Council, Northamptonshire Police, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service, Northamptonshire Partnership Homes and Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone's Immediate Justice team to deliver the programme.

Events are planned in Northampton, Daventry and Towcester, with officers and housing staff offering advice on issues including graffiti, fly-tipping and nuisance behaviour. Residents will also be able to raise concerns directly with neighbourhood policing teams and anti-social behaviour officers.

A business engagement event will be held at Northampton's Grosvenor Centre on June 30, while the Beat Bus will visit Market Square. A young people's summer safety event will also take place in Market Square on July 4.

Meanwhile, the Ashby Road underpass in Daventry will be transformed through a community street art project involving local artist Binty Bint and Parker E-ACT Academy students. Before work begins, offenders from the Commissioner's Immediate Justice programme will clean and prepare the site.

Councillor Charlie Hastie, deputy leader of West Northamptonshire Council and cabinet member for housing and communities, said: "Anti-social behaviour can have a significant and lasting impact on individuals, families and communities, and it is vital that we continue to tackle these issues collaboratively.

"ASB Awareness Week provides an important opportunity to raise awareness, speak directly with residents and ensure people know how to report incidents and access support."

Residents are encouraged to attend events throughout the week and find out more about the support available and how to report anti-social behaviour.
