The vehicle was stolen on Thursday evening (September 17).

The charity, which uses the vehicle to support people after floods, fires and other emergencies by offering them some privacy and essentials, says the theft will have a 'big impact' on their support.

Paul Hebborn, emergency response officer for Northamptonshire, said: “The vehicle is a fiat tribune camper van which we use to support people after fires, floods and other emergencies.

“It’s stocked with clothes, food and drink and other essentials. We even carry toys for children and pet food.

“We use it as a place where people can get out of the cold and rain, get some privacy at a difficult time, and some help and advice from our volunteers.

“The vehicle is part of our integrated response with the emergency services and not having it will have a big impact on the support we’re able to provide.”

Northamptonshire Police is investigating the theft and is urging any witnesses, or businesses in the Moulton Park area with CCTV, to get in contact on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
