£20,000 reward offered to anyone with information that helps secure conviction in Northampton skate park murder investigation
A £20,000 reward has been offered to anyone with information, which helps secure a conviction in the Northampton skate park murder investigation.
Crimestoppers is “urgently” appealing for help from the public, after Mason Miller, aged 20, was fatally stabbed at a skate park in Ringway, Briar Hill at around 3.30pm on Wednesday February 18. A 17-year-old boy was also stabbed during the incident and suffered life-threatening injuries.
A murder investigation was launched and Northamptonshire Police have made a number of arrests, some of which have led to charges. However, the charity says it is believed there are still people who may have witnessed events leading up to the incident, who have not yet come forward.
Lydia Patsalides, East Midlands Regional Manager at the charity Crimestoppers said: “This was a devastating act of violence that has torn a family apart and left a community in shock.

"We know that some people may feel frightened or unsure about speaking up, but Crimestoppers offers a completely safe and anonymous way to share what you know.
“Even the smallest piece of information could be vital in helping secure justice for Mason and the injured teenager. Please, if you have any information at all, do the right thing and contact us anonymously.”
A spokesperson for Crimestoppers added: “Mason’s death has caused immense distress to his family, friends and the wider community.
“He was a young man with his whole life ahead of him and his loss has deeply affected those who knew him.
“The incident occurred in a residential area. It is believed there may be people who witnessed events leading up to, during or after the attack who have not yet come forward.”
Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information that is given directly to them, leading to the conviction of the people responsible for Mason’s murder and the attempted murder of the 17-year-old victim. The reward is available for three months, but information passed directly to the police will not qualify for the reward.
The reward will only qualify for information passed to Crimestoppers via the 0800 555 111 number or through the charity’s website Giving information | Crimestoppers.
Two 16-year-old boys from Northampton have been charged with murder and attempted murder. They appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Friday March 6 to face the charges. A woman has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, but has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.
Detectives investigating Mason’s death continue to ask for anyone with information about the incident to contact them, too.
