£20,000 reward offered for information over murder of Northampton teenager Khadeem Parris

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder of 16-year-old Khadeem Parris in Northampton.

The independent charity has renewed its appeal for information four weeks after the teenager died following an incident at an address in Adnitt Road, Abington.

Khadeem died on the evening of Tuesday, July 7, despite the efforts of members of the public and emergency services at the scene.

His death left his family grieving the loss of a much-loved son, relative and friend and sent shockwaves through the wider Northampton community, a spokesperson said.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder, but Crimestoppers believes there may still be people with information about what happened who have not yet come forward, the spokesperson added.

The charity is offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information provided anonymously to Crimestoppers that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

It is particularly appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened or who has information about those involved before, during or after the incident.

Crimestoppers also wants to hear from people who may have subsequently heard conversations about the circumstances surrounding Khadeem's death.

Lydia Patsalides, East Midlands regional manager at Crimestoppers, said: “A month has now passed since Khadeem tragically lost his life, but for those who loved him the pain and heartbreak remain.

“Someone may know information that could help provide answers about what happened that evening. That information, however small it may seem, could be important.

“We understand that some people may feel nervous or worried about speaking up. That’s why Crimestoppers exists.

“We are completely independent of the police, and anyone who contacts us remains anonymous. We do not ask for names or personal details, and we cannot trace who gets in touch.”

Information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or completing its secure online form.

The charity is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and says calls are not recorded, telephone numbers are not visible and IP addresses are not traced.

Information must be given directly to Crimestoppers, rather than the police, to qualify for the reward.

Anyone calling the charity who wishes to claim a reward must ask for a reward code. Those submitting information online must use the charity's “Keep in Contact” facility and request a reward code when first getting in touch.
