Police want to trace group of teenagers after two attempted burglaries in Wellingborough

Police are trying to trace a group of teenagers seen in the area at the time of two attempted burglaries on Wellingborough's Kingsway estate.

Between midnight and 2am on Tuesday, July 21, the door handle at an address in Edinburgh Road was tried, and shortly afterwards a door on neighbouring Duke Street, was also tested.

No entry was gained to either residential properties.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "A group of four to five teenagers were seen in the area at the time of the incidents, and officers are keen to trace the boys to eliminate them from their enquiries.

"The teenagers were aged 15 to 18, and were wearing sports clothing and face coverings.

"Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or who may have RING or CCTV footage of anyone acting suspiciously in the area between the stated times."
