Police seal off roads in Northampton after gas leak

Police have sealed off an area of Kingsley tonight, Thursday June 11.

Emergency vehicles are blocked off East Park Parade, Abington Avenue and Holly Road.

One eye witness told the Chronicle & Echo: "Police are actively diverting people away. The end of the Racecourse near the Picturedrome has now been cordoned off.

"Buses and all traffic heading out of town are being diverted up Derby Road.

Northamptonshire Police have confirmed there is a gas leak in the area and more information will be released shortly.
