Police hunt underway for man who tried to pull woman into a bush in Northampton park

The incident happened between 11.50pm on Wednesday (September 30) and 12:30am on Thursday (October 1) when a woman walking through Victoria Park towards Gladstone Road was approached by a man.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "He grabbed the woman’s coat by the chest area and attempted to pull her into a bush. Thankfully, the woman managed to break free and get away.

"The suspect is described as a white man, around 50 years old, five foot and six inches, of a medium build with short, wavy, grey hair. He was wearing an orange hooded top with the hood up."
