Police hunt teenagers after man, 39, seriously injured during daylight attack in Northampton

Three teenage thugs viciously assaulted a man in broad daylight in a quiet Northampton cul-de-sac yesterday (Sunday May 17).

Police say the 39-year-old victim was repeatedly punched and kicked after being set on by the gang, all believed to be aged 16 and 17, in Great Holme Court, Thorplands.

The victim was taken to hospital where police say he remains in a serious condition.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "The incident happened on between 2.45pm and 3pm, when the victim was walking through the area and was approached by three teenagers, who assaulted him by punching and kicking him.

"The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

"The suspects are three white boys, aged between 16 and 17, wearing dark-coloured tracksuits and white baseball caps.

"We would ask anyone who may have seen three boys answering this description or may have any other information, CCTV or dashcam footage, please call Northamptonshire Police on 101 using incident number 20000249472."
