Police hunt mugger with 'distinctive crooked teeth' who snatched woman's bag in Northampton

Detectives are hunting a man in his 30s with "distinctive crooked teeth" after a woman had her bag snatched during a ride-by attack in Northampton.

Officers say the victim was shoved over during a struggle, sustaining minor injuries, before the attacker fled with her bag containing a purse, phone and family photos.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman confirmed: "The woman was at the junction of Melville Street and Talbot Road in Northampton at around 10.30pm on April 22 when a man approached and grabbed her handbag.

"The suspect is described as a mixed race man, aged around 30, 5ft 11in and slim. He had shaved black hair and was clean-shaven. The man had distinctive crooked teeth and sunken cheeks.

"He was wearing a black hooded jacket with the hood up, dark trousers and was riding a white bicycle."

Anyone who saw the incident or has information about it can call Northamptonshire Police on 101, using incident number 21000221534.
