Police confirm no arrests made following online poster that encourages violence between schools in Northampton
Police have confirmed no arrest have yet been made following a poster circulating online that encourages violent confrontations between groups of teenagers in Northampton.
The image, widely shared on social media, promotes what it calls a “Northampton War,” allegedly involving pupils aged 15 to 18 from several schools divided into opposing “sides.” Similar posts have been reported across the country.
It outlines supposed “rules,” urging participants to target anyone from the other group, apply pressure to make them record an apology, and send footage to be posted online.
The poster also references everyday items, implying they could be used as weapons, and repeatedly encourages participants to “be violent.”

Northants Police said they were aware of the poster, which promoted the first fights to take place last Friday, February 27.
A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said: “We are aware of this post on social media and have been visiting schools across the today to speak to their students about it.
“We would also ask parents/guardians to speak to their children to ensure you know where they are and explain the dangers of getting involved in violent or disorderly behaviour.”
