Pedestrian smashes up bike after accidental collision with cyclist in Northampton

A pedestrian caused extensive damage to a bicycle in Northampton after the cyclist accidently collided with him in Northampton.

A man was cycling along Gladstone Road in Northampton, when he rode up a dropped curb near where two men were standing on the corner of Gladstone Close on Tuesday, 23 February, at about 10.30am.

One of the men edged backwards, colliding with the bike, causing the cyclist to fall off. The pedestrian then kicked the bike repeatedly, causing extensive damage to it.

The offender was of mixed race, aged between 18 and 23, around 6ft 1in and of slim build. He was wearing a grey tracksuit top and blue and grey baseball cap. He had a black goatee beard.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
