Passenger verbally abused and spat at on D3 bus between Northampton and Daventry

Police are investigating a number of alleged incidents which have all taken place on buses travelling between Northampton and Daventry.

All the incidents involve the same two women and all happened on the D3 bus, which travels between Northampton and Daventry via Weedon.

The first incident happened on Saturday, November 7 between 2.55pm and 3.30pm. The victim was sitting on the bus when the suspect got on and tried to talk to her. When she was ignored, she grabbed at her arm. The victim got off at Weedon.

The second incident happened on Tuesday, November 17 between 4pm and 4.25pm. Both women got on the bus at Daventry bus station. The suspect was intoxicated and was verbally abusive to the victim. The bus stopped in Weedon accompanied by a police car with officers assisting with the removal of the intoxicated woman.

The third incident happened on Thursday, December 3 between 12.45pm and 12.55pm. While waiting at Daventry Bus Station, the victim was approached by the suspect who shouted abuse at her before walking away.

The next incident happened on Tuesday, December 15 and involved the suspect making abusive remarks about the victim to a man she was talking to.

The most recent incident was on Thursday, January 7 at 4.05pm when the suspect spat at the victim while they were both on the bus which at the time was parked at Newcroft in Weedon.
