Neil Bennett, of Mill Lane, Greens Norton, sent a series of messages in late 2019 where he reportedly tried to negotiate an occasion for him to assault a young girl.

At Northampton Crown Court on April 8, the 40-year-old pleaded guilty to arranging the offence.

It comes after he also pleaded guilty to downloading indecent images of children and two counts of distributing such images in December 2020.

He will be sentenced on April 15 next week.
