Two men have appeared in court charged kidnap and blackmail over a string of incidents in the summer of 2019.

Gary Burgess, of Farmclose Road, and Adam Molloy, of Woodlands, Grange Park, are accused of repeatedly demanding a payment of £1,000 from a man between July and September.

The pair, who were aged 19 and 18 at the time of alleged offences, are also charged with kidnapping a different man in an incident on Keepers Close, Northampton on September 21 that year.

Yesterday at Northampton Crown Court (January 20), Burgess and Molloy pleaded not guilty to both charges.

The pair were released on bail ahead of their trial set for May.
