Northampton man is charged with beating and coercively controlling a woman

The charge relates to incidents that took place over the last two years.

A Northampton man appeared in court yesterday (March 3) charged with attacking and coercively controlling a woman.

Hayden Wykes, 27, of no fixed address, appeared at Northampton Magistrates' Court charged with two counts of actual bodily harm, two counts of assault by beating and one count of engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour.

The charges relate to incidents that took place between July 2019 and February this year.

Wykes did not enter a plea to the charges and has since been remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance at Northampton Crown Court on April 16.
