A Northampton man accused of spitting on a woman and claiming he had Covid-19 has appeared in court.

Christopher Hulland, from The Oaks, Grange Park, has been charged with common assault, criminal damage and racially-aggravated assault after an incident in Clover Lane, Wootton, on Tuesday, June 8.

At Northampton Magistrates' Court today, Hulland pleaded not guilty to all charges.

He will appear at Northampton Crown Court on July 8.
