Northampton footballer Ivan Toney charged with assault
Northampton footballer Ivan Toney has been charged with assault, police have confirmed.
In a statement issued by the Met Police, a spokesperson said the charge came following an investigation into an incident last year.
The spokesperson said: “Ivan Toney, aged 30, of Northampton, was charged on Thursday, 31 July with assault causing actual bodily harm.
“He will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 24 September.
“The charge relates to an assault, which reportedly took place on 6 December 2025 at a nightclub on Wardour Street, W1,” the spokesperson added.
