Northampton 63-year-old remains in '˜critical condition' after alleged attack

A 63-year-old Northampton woman who suffered 'life changing injuries' after an alleged attack last week remains in a critical condition according to police.

Police and ambulance services were called to Portland Place, just off Wellingborough Road, just before midnight on Sunday, February 7.

A woman, aged 63, was taken to University of Coventry Hospitals with what police described as “life changing injuries”.

Today, a police spokeswoman has confirmed the 63-year-old remains in a “critical condition”.

Philip Green, aged 50, of Portland Place, was charged with attempted murder and two counts of making threats to kill last week.

Green, who has not yet entered a plea to the charges, has been remanded in custody and will appear again at Northampton Crown Court on March 9.
