Detectives are hunting two masked men in their late teens or early-20s who smashed up a VW Golf with baseball bats in Daventry in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The vehicle's windscreen was attacked between midnight and 12.30am while it was parked in Preston Drive in the Lang Farm area of the town.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "The offenders were both white men aged in their late-teens to early 20s. They were dressed in all black clothing with their hoods up and masks across the lower half of their faces."
