Man hospitalised after broad daylight assault in Northampton town centre

Police have taped off the area outside an estate agents in Kettering Road where the assault took place

Officers said the incident happened today (Wednesday, January 27) at about 10am, near to the junction with Spencer Road, when a man in his 30s suffered injuries to his head.

He has been taken to hospital but is expected to make a full recovery, police said.

Officers said a 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody at this time.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault. Anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
