Man hospitalised after assault in Wellingborough

Police want to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area around the time of the assault.

A 24-year-old man was assaulted last night in Wellingborough.

The incident took place at around 5pm yesterday (March 5) in the area of Brickhill Road and Lea Way.

The victim was taken to hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.

The assault took place in the Brickhill Road and Lea Way area in Wellingborough.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "Officers are now encouraging anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area around the time of the assault to contact them. They are particularly interested in anyone who may have any pertinent CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage.

"Witnesses, or anyone with camera footage or any other information, should called Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting reference number 366 of 05/03/21."
