The 36-year-old woman died following an incident at a property in Jervis Close, Daventry.

A forensic post mortem revealed she died from internal bleeding due to a stab wound to her collarbone which penetrated her lung, and she had four other significant stab injuries to her face, chest and arm.

Two young children, aged five and two, were recovered safe and well from the property and were taken into the care of social services.

The trial will take place in June.
