A man will stand trial over a fire that broke out at a Northampton council flat this year.

Dean Jordan was charged with alleged arson following the blaze at his own address at Newton Road on January 20 this year.

The 25-year-old was specifically charged with arson while reckless as to whether the resulting fire would endanger others or spread to other flats in the Northampton Partnership Homes operated block.

Jordan is expected to enter a guilty or not guilty plea on April 26.
