The crashed car was abandoned and PD Nala tracked the suspect to a house

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a collision between a bus a car yesterday morning (March 30).

The crash took place at around 5am when a bus and a black Mercedes E280 collided in Lower Mounts, Northampton.

The smashed up Mercedes was abandoned and, after police were deployed, PD Nala tracked a male suspect from the scene to a residence where the man was then arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
