Man arrested after car collides with a bus on the A45 in Northamptonshire

A 32-year-old man has been arrested after a car was involved in a collision with a bus in Northamptonshire.

The crash happened on the A45 between Weedon and Daventry at about 4pm yesterday (1 October) when a grey Audi A5 collided with a bus. The road had to be closed off by police for one hour and 20 minutes while they dealt with the incident.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire said the 32-year-old man, was arrested for failing to provide a specimen of breath. He has since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

Fortunately, no-one was injured in this incident, the spokesperson said.
