Man, 52, punched repeatedly by two men in Daventry

The attack left the victim with swelling to the side of his face and a chipped tooth.

The attack took place between 10.35am and 10.50am on Wednesday (30 September) on Sheaf Street, Daventry.

A 52-year-old man was approached then assaulted by two men between the Post Office and Timpsons on Sheaf Street.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said the victim was repeatedly punched by the offenders, which caused swelling to the left side of his face and chipped his tooth.

The first offender is described as a white man with a tanned complexion, aged about 30-years-old, five foot eight inches and of a medium build. He was wearing a black and white tracksuit and carried a shopping bag.

The second offender was also white with a tanned complexion, aged about 60-years-old, five foot eight inches and of a stocky build. He was wearing a black jacket.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “Anyone with information or who witnessed this incident is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 20000513928 or, alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
