A 'large' cannabis factory has been discovered in Northampton by police following a raid today (Wednesday, June 24).

A total of 250 plants were found over six rooms of a terraced house in Stanhope Road - no arrests have been made so far.

In a since-deleted tweet at around 3.50pm, Northampton neighbourhood policing team said: "The team are currently on scene at a large cannabis factory in the town following a successful warrant.

"A great example of us acting on community intelligence."
